Winter Solstice Walk

1501 hours, 21 December 2025, is the precise time of the winter solstice and I had signed up for a 7.5 mile walk starting at Wye Station in Kent.  The morning was overcast when we met at 11.30 am but it was due to rain steadily and heavily from 3 pm.  Obviously, we weren't going to see the sun set on the shortest day!

I set my OS Maps tracking at the start but must have paused it because we had walked a mile or so before I realised.  Hence the straight line on the map.  My watch recorded 8.5 miles and around 24,500 steps; quite an achievement for me.
